About MP Wellness

Monica Pope is the founder and medical provider at MP Wellness Group. With over 19 years of nursing experience and the encouragement and support of her husband, family and friends, Monica ventured into the unknown and decided it was time to open a clinic of her own. Frustrated with traditional “Western” medicine and their “treat the symptoms” approach to disease, Monica created MP Wellness based on her strong beliefs in holistic medicine, proper nutrition, exercise and supplementation to prevent disease rather than cover its symptoms.

Treating the mind, body, and soul is the foundation to anti-aging and functional wellness. No stranger to medicine, Monica is a second generation ER nurse and began her career at the busy San Bernardino County ARMC Emergency Department. There she worked as an ER nurse and MICN answering the paramedic base station radio. She later transferred to trauma/surgical services and worked exclusively as an Emergency Department Trauma nurse. After the birth of her son, Monica began a new adventure working in the PACU. It was during this time she decided to challenge herself and go back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with honors and became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020.

Unlike the adrenaline filled Emergency Department, Monica’s journey as a Nurse Practitioner started in the clinic setting as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner here in Upland. Seeking her niche, as a Family Nurse Practitioner she followed her passion for diet and nutrition and began working in obesity medicine with a medically guided weight loss franchise. Monica loves helping people maintain their health, look and feel their best and is overjoyed with the opportunity to see her very own patients in her very own clinic. Outside of the clinic, Monica is a busy mom to a 9 year old son and 3 year old daughter and fire wife to husband Bobby. Her dad, brothers and sister in laws are all law enforcement officers. Her mom is a retired LA County ER nurse. Public service runs deep in her blood. On her days off Monica enjoys spending time with her family, working out and soaking up the sunshine by the pool, river, lake or beach.
